Utah Cancer Specialist

Today I loaded up my van with the hats that I have received and my two young sons and headed over to the Utah Cancer Specialist over at IMC. We had so many hats to donate it was wonderful! My boys hung up the hats on the Oncology's hat rack. They thought it was great!

It was great to see the hat rack full. We filled it as much as we could then left another box for the staff to refill as needed!

We went downstairs to the Radiation Department and loaded up their hat baskets. They treat people of all ages, so we were able to give them a good amount of children's hats that the Spring Creek, Springville RS donated!

I am so grateful this Holiday season for all the wonderful volunteer HEAD HUGGERS who have donated their time and talents so that HEAD HUGGERS can donate!

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND THANK YOU!

Hello again.

I apologize for letting the Head Huggers down. I  have to admit I got a little overwhelmed with life and something had to give. Unfortunately, in taking a break I missed out on some wonderful opportunities. With renewed hope, I am excited to take this on again. I have some groups that are looking to work with Utah Head Huggers to get some hats to the Cancer Centers in the Salt Lake Valley. I am so grateful for everyone who has looked around on this blog and felt compelled to help out!  Thank you so much!

Utah Head Huggers!

Presenting the new satellite group Utah Head Huggers!

When browsing the "Give a Day, Get a Disney Day" data base, I came across many charities that helped children who are sick or disadvantaged, I did not see any that benefited adults with cancer. I searched the internet and came across the Head Huggers! It is a charity started by Sue Thompson. I was so excited to find a place to put my energy. My mom is currently undergoing Chemotherapy and I would really like to help her oncology office and other in the Salt Lake and Utah County areas.

I have enlisted the help of my wonderful Sister and Sister-in-laws. Together we will be running this charity. Its our way of positively affecting those who are undergoing cancer.

Portions of the blog are still under constructions. Please check back often!

Thanks for your kind hearts willing to help!
